I'd wait a month and check with Freshops--they have quite a variety, and I'm willing to bet you can track down some Simcoes from them.Jeff Alworthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02930119177544342495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21271644.post-47159431014395670052011-02-24T00:02:21.309-08:002011-02-24T00:02:21.309-08:00Dangit, I shouldn't have just shadowed my wife...Dangit, I shouldn't have just shadowed my wife. I was at the same nursery the same day and if I'd seen these, I surely would've nabbed some. Really looking forward to growing my own. Is Simcoe commercially available and if so, did you see any there?Brian Yaegerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03809280960510780621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21271644.post-10206594173749812282011-02-21T12:10:25.504-08:002011-02-21T12:10:25.504-08:00I have some rhizomes on pre-order, and will be exp...I have some rhizomes on pre-order, and will be experimenting with how much sun they'll tolerate down here in Arizona. I wish I could go down to my local nursery and see a display like the one shown here.Coryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08815005423640982601noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21271644.post-9492917338343286982011-02-20T17:57:45.601-08:002011-02-20T17:57:45.601-08:00Del, as it happens, Oregon has some of the sunnies...Del, as it happens, Oregon has some of the sunniest skies in the summer. We are also located far enough north to provide the hops with the 15 hours of sunlight they need every day to thrive. Perhaps unsurprisingly, something like a quarter of the nation's crop comes from Oregon--and something like two-thirds from Washington state.Jeff Alworthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02930119177544342495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21271644.post-50007590903662669572011-02-20T02:41:49.101-08:002011-02-20T02:41:49.101-08:00I would like to be one such gardener. Based on the fact that you saw them in Portland, I would assume that they don't mind cloudy weather.Delhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03543021391021550802noreply@blogger.com
