Heineken is brewed 100km from São Paulo and is often skunked. It's not how much it has traveled but how long it has been on the shelf, under bright lights.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17027300822667725341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21271644.post-69131955337506309042012-11-20T10:44:43.709-08:002012-11-20T10:44:43.709-08:00Don't know if this is still the norm. The same is true in Bavaria. However, in Belgium and also sometimes here in the Netherlands, bottled beer is better because it's bottle-conditioned. The better breweries use brown glass, Heineken and their colleagues use green. Brand UP, probably one of the best Dutch pilseners, is owned by Heineken, but comesmikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18391986396999558718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21271644.post-62572356555486911942012-11-19T19:36:56.915-08:002012-11-19T19:36:56.915-08:00Patrick, I bought this bottle in the town of its m...Patrick, I bought this bottle in the town of its manufacture. Hence, the undying love of Heineken and Corona, two of the most skunk-infested beers out there. Sometimes taste counts for nothing.
