Couldn't stay long, unfortunately, so decided on the IRA since I really like red ales. Very unique example of the style, delicious and VERY fresh. Wife wanted a Porter or Stout, none on the list so she had the Vienna and enjoyed it. I like Full Sail's ales as well as most of Mcmenamins, and BJ's has a very nice Porter, but DM's Baltic porter was creamy, choclatey, malty, with a medium body, and nicely balanced hoppy edge to it. Absolutely delightful. There are many brew pubs in Hood River but most of the food isn't that great, just the beer. But you get both with DM. They had a Brown Ale (slightly chocolately and well-balanced) and the new Uncle Lester's ESB in place of the Alt, and both were just as good as the others. Definitely one of my top breweries now.phil varnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11167295487172421470noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21271644.post-9369892604640587602007-09-03T17:20:00.000-07:002007-09-03T17:20:00.000-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Christyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09007610086990279208noreply@blogger.com
