I didn't realize that was the case either until after I'd tried both the Upright and the Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21271644.post-7698224903620768802009-05-03T12:55:00.000-07:002009-05-03T12:55:00.000-07:00This year there were a lot of beers not made with ...This year there were a lot of beers not made with Ingelmunster. I didn't realize that when I had the Upright (a non-Inglemunster, but I would have tried it anyway because I've been dying to try Alex Ganum's beer). Cascade's didn't use it, so I thought I'd try to find that beer around town. Sally and I managed to sample somethinng like 14 of 20. I'll get a full report up tomorrow.Jeff Alworthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02930119177544342495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21271644.post-27630007362119275182009-05-03T12:17:00.000-07:002009-05-03T12:17:00.000-07:00Big Horse FTW!Big Horse FTW!Ralphhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15935553689879498648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21271644.post-48570795785750330752009-05-03T11:41:00.000-07:002009-05-03T11:41:00.000-07:00I was fortunate that my employer let me off early ...I was fortunate that my employer let me off early Friday (lack of work), so I got there around 3. A friend of mine had already been there for close to an hour, and he recommended two right off the bat: Ingelmonster barrel-aged and Streaking the Quad… I should've listened. I wanted to start out light (Upright Four, excellent start) and work my way up, but I did try the Ingelmonster non-barrel Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21271644.post-24108318415078757542009-05-03T09:26:00.000-07:002009-05-03T09:26:00.000-07:00Thanks...I unfortunately did not get to try Bolt's...Thanks...I unfortunately did not get to try Bolt's Biere de Garde because it was gone!

Cheers,
CoreyUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14624326585779194419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21271644.post-26076540901072795252009-05-02T20:13:00.000-07:002009-05-02T20:13:00.000-07:00Corey, yours was one of the highlight beers. I'll do a proper review soon, but at the top of the list were Zen Lunatic and Astoria's biere de garde.

I hope you have a good time in Bend, and I really hope to be tasting your beer again, soon.Jeff Alworthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02930119177544342495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21271644.post-13159192579997543572009-05-02T16:57:00.000-07:002009-05-02T16:57:00.000-07:00Glad you liked the Zen Lunatic. Interesting note: the Lunatic made it to a astonishing 90 deg F in fermentation.

Cheers,
CoreyUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14624326585779194419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21271644.post-86213279504218622982009-05-02T14:29:00.000-07:002009-05-02T14:29:00.000-07:00Intersting on upright, I liked the Pelican too. Of those, I like Bolt Minister's Avant Guard Akloo, a coriander-spiced biere de garde. But the day is young. Also good: Pelican Le Fleur Amere and Lompoc Brussels Stout.Jeff Alworthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02930119177544342495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21271644.post-18545319626022656252009-05-02T13:57:00.000-07:002009-05-02T13:57:00.000-07:00Upright is going to be a welcome addition to the P...Upright is going to be a welcome addition to the Portland beer communityAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
