This was the actual press release of an actual sale that took place today, though the form is so predictable it is 100% interchangeable with any recent or future acquisition. In this case, the acquired brewery was Georgia's Terrapin, and the acquirer was MillerCoors (which had already owned a minority stake).

Carry on.

  1. Once MegaBrew is finalized, the pace of acquisitions will likely increase. AB has been quiet this year, waiting for DOJ approval. That will change. And, as we see with the MC takeover of Terrapin, AB isn't the only game in town.

  4. Pete, that's a very astute point. Hadn't considered that.

Jeff--what are you talking about? Get a job writing press releases for one of the big breweries and your job will be a breeze! Plus, you'd make more in a month than I make in a year.

    fplusbeer--brilliant.
