Two quick things. First, note that tonight is the debut of Double Mountain's Devil's Kriek--and the kick-off of the hugely popular Puckerfest--at Belmont Station. (4500 SE Stark) It's a beer that brewer Matt Swihart makes using cherries grown on his own trees; it's been aging for months, since last year's harvest. (Actually, the 2011 vintage has probably already been brewed and readying itself for this year's cherries.)

Second, when I was at Brookston earlier, I noticed (quite belatedly) that San Francisco has organized a group called the Bay Area Beer Bloggers. Why, pray tell, is there no Rose City Beer Bloggers? We should get on that.
