Good god, what a game. I thought Brandon Roy was effectively done as a go-to player.
Not so. Down 23 to Dallas at home and they came roaring back--all on the play of number 7. Nine of 13 shooting, five assists, and the fourth-quarter comeback was buoyed mainly by his offense. (An otherwise super crappy game: 11 after one, 35 at halftime, 49 after three. We were 3 of 16 on threes at one point and finished 4 of 19.) At one point, with just 1:09 to play, the Blazers were still down four, and Brandon stepped up to take a three, got it,
and was fouled. (Vid
here.) That set them up to hang on for the win.
Amazing.
