For further reading:
- The Wall Street Journal's excellent article on the topic.
- Another good article by a reporter who took his moxie, his sobriety, and a Pyrex measuring cup into the pubs of Bend, Oregon.
- Or compare the current NPR piece to an earlier NPR piece.
I actually heard the about the Honest Pint on NPR today, and i think its a wonderful idea, I have found myself in the past questioning my "pint" of being served here in Ohio. MG
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I listened to the NPR article yesterday. Maybe if there were "Honest Pint" t-shirts or polos for sale people could start wearing them to thier local pub/tavern/watering hole in support of the project and raise awareness.
ReplyDeleteI also heard this on NPR. And in response to Jim L: I would totally buy an Honest Pint shirt.
ReplyDeleteyeah, you should get on that t-shirt idea man...there's sites online that will sell shirts with a design for you. you could list out pubs that meet the Honest Pint requirements - like those rock tour shirts. maybe one for each city?
ReplyDeleteit would also be cool to come up with a certification program. official recognition from the Honest Pints Project.
Okay, I'm on the t-shirt idea. It will be available for purchase within 24 hours...
ReplyDeletethe story mentions "at least one" Portland bar that replaced all its glassware with true pint glasses. anybody know which bar this is?
ReplyDeleteThe Raccoon Lodge. Totally factual. AND they didn't raise prices.
